In the 1800s, the mint julep was considered a morning drink. It was made with bourbon to soothe aches and pains, sugar for energy, and mint to open the eyes. This tequila take on the classic, livens it up, making it hit a little differently, adding an earthy mellownes
Ingredients:
- La Nima Añejo Tequila – 2 oz / 60 m
- Honey or Agave Syrup – ¼ oz / 7.5 ml or to taste
- Mint Leaves- 8-10 leaves
- Club Soda Optional- Splash
- Garnish- Mint Sprig
Instructions: Combine all ingredients into a julep glass or small rocks glass. Muddle mint, fill glass with crushed ice, and add metal spoon/straw. Stir well, then add more ice to give a dome-like top, and garnish.
