
EL MEXICAN MARTINI
El Mexican martini was invented in Texas. It is similar to a margarita, but with vermouth, and served like a martini. The exact history of the drink is unclear, and it has lots of variations, but we like the classic.
Ingredients:
- La Nima Blanco Premium or Reposado Tequila- 1½ oz / 45 ml
- Orange Liqueur (Cointreau®, Grand Marnier®)- 1 oz / 30 ml
- Freshly-squeezed lime juice- ¾ oz / 22 ml
- Dey White Vermouth- ¼ oz / 7ml
- Optional Sweetener: agave nectar or simple syrup to taste
- Rim: coarse salt
- Garnish: lime wedge and an olive
Instructions: Combine liquid ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously with ice to chill. Strain martini glass rimmed with salt, and garnish.
